Do you have any fun Christmas game ideas?

I’m having Christmas at my house this year. Just a small group of family members. I’ve bought a few things and wrapped them for prizes. I told everyone to bring a white elephant gift. I thought of playing a round of bingo, and making words out of Merry Christmas. Are there any you play that are fun. Be nice Grandma will be here.

there’s something we do on christmas eve:
we put everyone in groups and we ask the groups to come up with a list of christmas songs. we give em 5 minutes or so.
then the contest starts. we ask one group to sing one song and then the next group sings one song and then so on and the cycle begins. the catch is that a song can never be repeated. so if a group sings a song that has been sung by another group, they get disqualified. if they can’t come up with a song, they get disqualified. they should know the lyrics to the song, btw.
it gets more fun at the end when 2 or three groups compete coz everyone’s trying to think up all the christmas songs.
btw, after a group sings a song successfully they can choose which group sings next. it’s more challenging that way because two teams may become rivals and eat up all the songs.

I’ve always thought door prizes for the most Seasonally Sincere outfit are fun. I also love the game Scattergories…seems to be a hit with many generations.

I always glue (edible of course) together houses made of graham crackers and buy an assortment of candy and let the kids build their own gingerbread houses. Then we have a contest. Of course we have prizes for most colorful, unique, original, prettiest, and as many as you can think of so every kid gets a prize. It is kind of messy so put it all on a big table and lots of paper underneath. You can suggest to everyone to bring a bag of candy that will work to trim the houses like rope licorice, candy canes, red hots.

i have an idea for kids to play if there are any at your house. well you know pin the tail on the donkey for birthday parties, well how about you make up pin the red nose on rudolph. the child who comes closest or hits right on wins a special prize. its easy to do. you don’t have to spend a hole lot to make the game just find a big picture of an ordinary reign deer and then make a bunch of red noses. that would be fun for the kids. then how about a christmas bingo like a theme oh i don’t know a theme like grandma got ran over by a reign deer or something silly like that. i am not well with sugestions but i do like the pin the red nose on rudolph.
